They are wedge and block-shaped rather than natural fragments, around 4 or 5 mm each. There are about 27 of them in all. All of the chips are drilled. Goldstone is an artificial stone first made by Monks in Northern Italy around 1590. It is currently made from a brown glass in which copper oxide is mixed.
